Fía Yang (b.1988) is a Chinese artist based in Iceland. She uses art to overcome her fears and traumas through the act of creation. Years of multi-media design experience encouraged her to explore different methods and mediums in her art journey. Her art is primarily inspired by nature, darkness, and the unknown.
Furthermore, Taoism and Carl Jung´s collective unconscious theory profoundly impacted how she views the world. She tends to connect the relationships between seemingly contradictory objects or concepts — evil and good, order and disorder, movement and stillness, complexity and simplicity in her work.
